What uses can you give to your dome, businesses, refuge, home?

Domes (or "domes") are an important part of human history. Since the late Stone Age (between 50,000 and 39,000 years ago), the dome-shaped tomb was occupied as a replica of a God-given shelter, made permanent as a place of veneration for the deceased. Think of the stupas of India and the tomb of tholos in Greece! The domes were also associated with the skies of ancient Persia and the Hellenistic Roman world, since the circle represents eternity and perfection.

The domes can reflect sounds and create fantastic echoes since they are concave downwards. In the 15th century, the chants of the clergy echoed in the Byzantine churches thanks to the semi-domes. Today, some of the best concert halls in the world are dome-shaped (look at Royal Albert Hall in London).

Domes are, in fact, the most efficient structure known to man. The spherical shape of the domes allows air and energy to circulate without obstacles, something particularly good in Patagonia (with gusts of up to 250 km/h). Domes are aerodynamic structures that can withstand earthquakes and hurricanes without problem .

The good volume-space ratio allows the domes to occupy 30% less surface area than traditional buildings. If you do the math, you'll realize that it takes 30% less energy to heat or cool them. Continuous airflow is guaranteed inside the dome (there are no fixed corners), therefore less energy is required to allow air circulation and maintain a stable temperature.

Lightweight domes are assembled in less time and are designed for concerts, celebrations or theatrical performances: good sound and acoustic control, microclimate management and a variety of design options. The steel dome structure is designed to withstand the high loads hanging from the internal structure of the dome, such as sound systems, lighting and decoration. The mobile dome tent is usually covered with PVC fabric membrane for fireproof, waterproof and snowstorm loads. The strength of the dome structure and the thickness of the PVC fabric membrane are chosen by geographical area to withstand the required loads such as wind, rain and snow. Several adjacent dome tents can be connected to create a compound designed to meet specific needs.
